Sometimes you watch a movie and just know that it is going to wreck you. That’s definitely going to be the case for Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell’s new film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.

First, this trailer feels like the definition of “Hopecore” and in 2025, we need it. The idea is simple: A man and a woman meet at a wedding when they’re alone and then a talking car tells the man to go and pick her up and take her on a “big bold beautiful” journey. Talk about a meet-cute.

But what makes this trailer feel special is that it is a unique look at love and happiness. Both these characters are going through moments in their life that either caused them pain or that taught them something about love and it is kind of beautiful to see.

The film is described as follows: “What if you could open a doorway and walk through it to re-live a defining moment from your past? Sarah (Margot Robbie) and David (Colin Farrell) are single strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and soon, through a surprising twist of fate, find themselves on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey – a funny, fantastical, sweeping adventure together where they get to re-live important moments from their respective pasts, illuminating how they got to where they are in the present…and possibly getting a chance to alter their futures.”

Imagine if a beautiful Irishman took you away on a journey that allowed you to process love, grief, and your life so that you can try to move forward in your life in a more rewarding way. That’s what this trailer is showing us and look, if that’s not a dream, I don’t know what is!

We can all cry together when A Big Bold Beautiful Journey hits theaters on September 19, 2025.
